Candy for Wedding Favors?
For our wedding favors we are going to give little Chinese to go boxes filled with chocolate. We can't decide which chocolate to use. Our choices are Ghirardelli, Dove, Kisses, Butter cream Vanilla, Andes or Turtles.
Since we can't decide b/c we love them all, my sister suggest to use them all. Or maybe mix 3. I'm afraid that will look tacky with all the different candies. Kinda makes me think about my daughter trick or treat bag when she comes home on Halloween.
Another idea was to use smaller boxes like little presents and put on each place setting. Then put two truffles inside. Are people ok with eating unwrapped candy? We can get them in bulk from a bakery where my cake is coming from.
The date is Jan.30 our colors are navy blue, silver and white. Kinda like a winter theme. The cake has edible snowflakes with pearl spray to make them sparkle.
What are your thoughts for edible favors?
The truffle would be flavored, haven't got a clue as to what kind yet. We are playing with different ideas. I want to finalize as much as possible b/c I have some busy months ahead of me. November i'm out of town for 3 weeks for work. In December is Christmas and the wedding is January.

I like the idea of truffles. But if they are the flavored ones, I would strongly recommend you label the boxes with the flavors that are contained within. You don’t want someone to accidentally eat something they don’t like or are allergic to.

I would LOVE Andies and Turtles together but if choosing 2 is too iffy for you, Andies would HIGHLY compliment your wintery theme! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Unwrapped truffles should be fine. My best friend from college just got married in august, and the favors were small boxes with 3 unwrapped truffles, and small bottles of maple syrup with their names and the date on them. (The maple syrup is because they are from VT.) Everyone liked it.

Andies, truffles or Dove. I would choose just one kind.
